MPC-CA Training of Educators (MCAH) Virtual Training
Making Proud Choices! California Edition (MPC-CA) is an evidence-based curriculum that aligns with the California Healthy Youth Act (CHYA) and provides adolescents with the knowledge, confidence, and skills necessary to reduce their risk of pregnancy, HIV, and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) by abstaining from sex or using protection if they choose to have sex.
ETR’s Virtual MPC-CA Training of Educators (TOE) for MCAH grantees (CA PREP and I&E) is designed to prepare youth-serving educators and health professionals to implement MPC-CA with confidence and fidelity. Each participant will engage in a learning process that includes pre-work, three virtual skills-development sessions, and follow-up support.
Training dates for the upcoming 2022 TOE are March 15, 17, and 22.
IMPORTANT: Please note that each participant will need a copy of the MPC-CA Curriculum to attend this TOE. The training cost does not include a copy of the curriculum. If you will need to purchase either print or digital copies of the curriculum for anyone attending the TOE, please email Erin McCarthy at erin.mccarthy@etr.org as soon as possible.
