ETR's comprehensive K–12 health and wellness curriculum gives children and youth the knowledge and skills to make healthy choices and establish life-long healthy behaviors, with activities tailored to the developmental capabilities of students at each grade level. Lessons are designed to be easy to use, with clear, concise teaching steps focused on the essential concepts and skills that will enable students to develop, practice and support specific healthy behavior outcomes. All HealthSmart grade levels are available in both print and digital formats.
Engaging activities are developmentally appropriate for each grade level. Colorful images are used to introduce concepts and skills, stimulate student thinking and keep the lessons lively and fun.
Activities are designed to shape healthy peer norms, challenge students in a variety of ways and accommodate a range of learning styles. The modular approach makes the program flexible, with separate units for the key health content areas.
