Safer Choices
Safer Choices, a school-based intervention to reduce sexual risk-taking behaviors among high school adolescents, was funded by the Division of Adolescent and School Health of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and was conducted in collaboration with the University of Texas at Houston Center for Health Promotion. Study results suggest Safer Choices produced numerous statistically and programatically significant effects on sexual-specific psychosocial variables and sexual risk-taking behaviors through the 31-month follow-up.
