Biography

Gina Gradias (she/her) is an enrolled tribal member of the Barbareno Band of Chumash Indians, from the villages of Syuxtun and Mikiw which is in beautiful Santa Barbara County. Gina is the Community Engagement and Outreach Coordinator for the California Clean Air Project. Gina is new to public health and tobacco control but comes to ETR with over 10 years of experience in education and workforce development programs advocating and supporting Indigenous peoples and historically underrepresented students in accessing education and meaningful employment. Gina has been involved in many culturally responsive place-based Indigenous education programs in Washington state, Alaska, and California. Gina is a proud first-generation student, and has earned a bachelor’s degree in SocioCultural Anthropology from the University of Washington and is currently working on a graduate degree.
