RYSE

The Reimagining Youth Centered Strategies and Engagement (RYSE) Innovation Hub supports Innovation Development Teams (IDTs) committed to creating programs that center youth voice in adolescent health and wellbeing. RYSE provides funding, technical assistance, and partnership with Youth Innovation Advisors to help IDTs across the country advance creative products that address adolescent health issues, with a focus on reducing unintended pregnancies and STIs. Yes & Know

Yes and Know is a fully virtual intervention created by ETR designed to strengthen healthy relationships and life skills among youth ages 14–19. Using a cluster randomized controlled trial across rural U.S. communities, the study will assess the program’s impact on unintended pregnancy and STI prevention. The evaluation addresses multiple gaps in existing evidence-based interventions, particularly the feasibility and efficacy of fully virtual sexual health programs, including self-paced, asynchronous learning supported by technology.

Next4You

Next4You is a digital intervention developed by ETR aimed at reducing unintended pregnancy and STI rates among youth aged 16–19 in California’s foster care system. Designed in partnership with young people with lived experience in foster care, the program is delivered via a mobile-responsive platform. Next4You is being rigorously evaluated by RTI International through a randomized controlled trial measuring outcomes such as contraceptive use, sexual health knowledge, self-efficacy in communication and consent, and relationship equity. Teen Options to Prevent Pregnancy (TOPP) Program

TOPP is a motivational interview-based program designed to reduce rapid repeat teen pregnancies and promote healthy birth spacing. Delivered over 18 months by trained nurse educators and social workers, TOPP provides personalized telephone and home-based support, access to contraception, and referrals to additional services. Seeds of Tradition, Preserving Heritage, Promoting Health

Seeds of Tradition is a youth-led group committed to educating youth and Tribal communities about the dangers of commercial tobacco, while embracing the sacred traditions of American Indian culture. The initiative fosters circles of trust, environmental stewardship, and cultural ties to protect clean air, abundant trees, and clean water. Through ancestral wisdom and generational teachings, Seeds of Tradition inspires a smoke-free future that honors the past while nurturing the earth for generations to come.

INSPIRE+

INSPIRE+ empowers and collaborates with young people in communities impacted by the War on Drugs to create youth-led, innovative solutions for community health. The project focuses on preventing youth substance use by identifying and addressing its root causes within their communities. Tobacco Use Prevention - ETR

ETR offers tobacco prevention materials that feature the latest updates on the epidemiology of tobacco-related disease, the prevalence of smoking and other tobacco use, and the risk factors related to tobacco use. TECC Materials

The Tobacco Education Clearinghouse of California (TECC) is a statewide technical assistance provider that supports the development and distribution of effective educational materials and social media messaging for the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and California Tobacco Prevention Program (CTPP) funded projects at no cost. Registering on the TECC website gives you access to hundreds of FREE resources that can be quickly printed at your convenience. Their online catalog of educational materials includes posters, stickers, fact cards, brochures, signs, and more. Emotional and Mental Health

Teaching young people how to care for their emotional and mental health is a paramount focus. ETR’s emotional health, stress reduction, and self-esteem titles outline healthy ways to respond to strong feelings and challenging events.
