Biography

Marcia Quackenbush, MS, MFT, MCHES, is Senior Editor in charge of ETR’s newsletters. She also oversees the agency’s blog. These publications highlight the exciting work being done by ETR and its partners. They also address a range of vital issues in the worlds of public health, health care and school health.

Marcia is a licensed marriage and family therapist who brings a unique clinical background to her editing and writing. She has over 25 years' experience providing services and materials to schools and communities. Her work has included the development and delivery of trainings and presentations across the state of California and throughout the nation, along with more than 15 years of providing clinical mental health services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. Much of her clinical work has focused on adolescent and family issues, life transitions and coping with chronic and life-limiting medical conditions, and she has worked extensively with people affected by HIV.

Marcia has authored 35 published books, curricula and monographs, dozens of professional articles and over 100 health education pamphlets. She has also edited a number of books and monographs. She is an enthusiastic photographer and serves as ETR’s in-house photographer/videographer.
