ETR Offers Materials and Services to Support DASH Funding Proposals

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention's Funding Opportunity Announcement PS13-1308 is intended to help school districts and schools develop, implement and sustain program activities to help prevent HIV/STD among adolescents, with a particular focus on youth at disproportionate risk. Approximately $13 million will be available in year 1 and $17 million for years 2 through 5 of the project period.

ETR is sponsoring free webinars on March 12 at 11:00 a.m. EST and March 13 at 2:00 p.m. EST to show how the organization's science-based health education products, programs and services can support local, state and territorial education agencies' school-based HIV/STD prevention programs, particularly in the delivery of exemplary sexual health education. ETR has a national reputation for excellence in developing, distributing, adapting, training to and evaluating prevention programs for both in- and out-of-school youth.

The webinar will cover ETR's comprehensive, evidence-informed HealthSmart curriculum, which aligns with CDC recommendations and national standards for health education, and ETR's evidence- based programs for youth, as well as other resources that can contribute to key sexual health services and safe and supportive environments for students and staff.
