ETR Associates Hires Former Unit Chief of California STD Control Branch
ETR Associates announces the hiring of Amy Smith, the former Health Promotion and Health Education Unit Chief of the California STD Control Branch and the statewide Director of the STD Community Interventions Program (SCIP). Amy will lead ETR Associates' Center for Sexual and Reproductive Health Promotion (CSRHP) as its new director.
Ms. Smith has her master of public health (MPH) in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of Michigan and, since 1996, has developed and directed culturally appropriate health education programs in English and Spanish. Her work has focused on health promotion, youth development and STD/HIV prevention in positions at community clinics, managed care programs and state government agencies.
CSRHP is a national leader in the dissemination of evidence-based programs, capacity building and "best practices" trainings on many health topics. CSRHP staff have lead trainings for health and education providers in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
