ETR Associates Announces William and Flora Hewlett Foundation Award

ETR Associates was recently awarded a two-year grant by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation to decrease teen pregnancy, STD and HIV among students attending middle and high school in two school districts in Contra Costa County, California. In collaboration with the Contra Costa County Family, Maternal and Child Health's Teen Age Program (TAP), the Mount Diablo Unified School District and the West Contra Costa School District, the goal of the program is to develop, deliver and institutionalize a comprehensive sexuality education program for middle and high school students. The program will include an effective, rigorously evaluated curriculum designed to reduce adolescent sexual risk-taking behavior, integrated within an existing comprehensive sexuality education curriculum used in the county.

The Center for Sexual and Reproductive Health Promotion at ETR Associates will lead this project. The Center is known for its ability to develop, adapt and build the capacity of others to implement and sustain evidence-based sexuality education programs.
