Curricula

The Institute prepares school and community-based educators and administrators to implement four evidence-based curricula. The curricula are briefly described below. To learn more about a curriculum, click on the curriculum cover graphics.

Keepin' It REAL

Keepin' It REAL is a ten-lesson curriculum designed to teach drug resistance strategies to multicultural groups of middle school youth.

TimeWise

TimeWise is a six-lesson curriculum which teaches 6th to 9th graders how to take control of their leisure time and participate in positive activities.

Becoming a Responsible Teen (BART)

BART is an eight-lesson HIV risk reduction program for 14 to 18 year olds. It was originally designed for African-American youth in community settings but has been used in schools and in a variety of communities.

Reducing the Risk (RTR)

RTR is an interactive, 16-lesson curriculum that teaches 9th to 12th graders information and skills to prevent pregnancy, STD and HIV.
