Description of the Forum
On Wednesday, December 1, 2004, Barbara Sugland, MPH, ScD and Claire Brindis, DrPH, will co-moderate a forum on Disparities in Adolescent Reproductive Health Outcomes: Focus on African American and Latino Youth. ReCAPP's Project Director, Lori Rolleri, MSW, MPH, will also serve as a moderator on the forum.

During this ReCAPP forum, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and share information about risk factors that partly explain why African American and Latino youth experience a higher prevalence of teen pregnancy, STDs and HIV in comparison to other US populations. Forum moderators will also encourage discussion on effective culturally competent practices and programs designed for African American and Latino youth and their caretakers.

The moderators recommend that you review the documents listed below before the forum. These documents will provide participants with a solid background on the state of reproductive health for African American and Latino youth.
