ReCAPP: Puberty (September 2002)

Puberty

The September 2002 edition of ReCAPP focuses on puberty. It includes:

three learning activities with accompanying handouts and worksheets:

Puberty and Growing Up — designed for youth to help them understand and cope with the physical and emotional changes that occur during puberty
Puberty and Adolescent Development — designed for parents to help them describe the physical and emotional changes that occur during puberty and be comfortable answering their children's questions about puberty, and
Desarrollo en La Pubertad y La Adolescencia — a Spanish version of the above learning activity for parents

two research summaries:

Secondary Sexual Characteristics in Boys — a study that examines the stages of puberty among boys of different races and ethnicities, and
Secondary Sexual Characteristics in Young Girls — a recent study that updates existing knowledge of the onset of puberty in young girls
