Pat (Rex) Grayson, MA, has more than 20 years’ experience with ETR as a writer, editor, webmaster, designer, and trainer. Her current focus is on writing and editing for skills-based online trainings and adaptation projects. These include: FOY 24/7 and RTRWorks!, research and development projects funded by the National Institute on Mental Health that prepare educators to lead evidence-based curricula for youth, and a recently completed adaptation project for which she served as project coordinator and lead writer. Funded by the Office of Adolescent Health through a subcontract with JBS International and built on ETR’s previous work for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), this project provided adaptation guidance on three evidence-based programs.
Ms. Grayson is also responsible for the technical aspects of several current and past projects with an information technology focus, responsibilities which include establishing and managing online communication systems, creating and managing websites, and developing curricula to teach game building programming to youth. Before joining ETR, she headed a successful desktop publishing business, managed an award-winning employee communications program for a Fortune 500 company, and was a university writing instructor.
Ms. Grayson graduated magna cum laude from San Francisco State University with a BA in English and Drama. She later earned an MA in English at San Francisco State after spending one year studying abroad and completing a special teacher training program.
