ETR Associates Calls for Community-Based Facilitators for NIMH-Funded Online Training

ETR Associates recently received funding from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) to develop and evaluate online training for the HIV and STD prevention curriculum Focus on Youth with ImPACT (FOY).  The curriculum is an 8-session program created specifically for 12- to 15-year-old African-American youth. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has identified FOY as an evidence-based program.  FOY has been evaluated and found effective in lowering rates of sexual activity, sex without a condom, and alcohol and tobacco use.  ImPACT is the parent component of the program and stands for Informed Parents and Children Together.

Call for Community-Based Facilitators:

ETR Associates is actively recruiting community-based group leaders throughout the United States to teach FOY in their communities.  Participating group leaders will receive free curriculum materials, as well as a monetary stipend to complete the research activities, including surveys and session logs. Interested parties can visit the project website at www.focusonyouth247.com for more information and to complete a facilitator’s Interest Survey.
