ETR Associates’ Staff Member to Conduct Community-Based Organizations Workshop at 2010 U.S. Conference on AIDS

ETR Associates' Rafiki Rama Franklin, MEd, Tabono CBA Project Coordinator in the Center for Sexual and Reproductive Health Promotion, will be conducting a workshop along with co-presenter Jacqueline Coleman, MEd, MSM, at the upcoming U.S. Conference on AIDS. September 12--15, 2010. The workshop, titled The Art of Organizational Capacity-Behavior Change in the Workplace, will focus on sharing information to increase knowledge, enhance skills and shift attitudes around long-held notions that have perpetuated disharmonic energy in community-based organizations. Effective culturally competent strategies and methods utilizing a basic prescriptive model of growth and development will be presented as well.

About Rafiki Rama Franklin: Rafiki Rama comes to ETR from the California Department of Health Services, where she was a STD Control Branch Regional Health Education Coordinator helping to build capacity for 24 northern California health departments. She has spent much of the past 20 years in the field of HIV/AIDS, directing, managing, training and providing direct health care, counseling and education services for government and community-based organizations serving people in need. She incorporates holistic healing and spirituality principles throughout her work.
