ETR Associates' California Clear Air Project Director Awarded Two Commissions

ETR Associates' Director of the California Clear Air Project (CCAP,) Narinder Dhaliwal, was recently sworn in as a member of the Substance Abuse Advisory Board for Yuba and Sutter Counties in central California. Ms. Dhaliwal was also sworn in as a commissioner for Sutter County's Juvenile Justice Commission. Both appointment s are for a four-year term.

About Narinder Dhaliwal

Narinder Dhaliwal, MS, is the Director of the California Clean Air Project (CCAP), funded by the California Department of Public Health. CCAP provides technical assistance, training and educational materials related to the prevention of secondhand smoke. Ms. Dhaliwal supervises staff and prepares educational materials, program reports and evaluation and training tools. She has established strong working relationships with tobacco control programs in many of California's counties, and was the recipient of the 2010 ETR Associates Mary Nelson Award, the 2009 Carol M. Russell Award for Leadership and Vision in Tobacco Control from the state of California, and the 2009 Roger Kunde Award for outstanding service and commitment to youth. Ms. Dhaliwal serves on several community-based organizations and is committed to community activism and health advocacy. She earned her master's degree in gerontology and her bachelor's degree in social sciences, both from Warwick University, England, U.K.
