ETR Associates' 2013 Mary Nelson Award Winners

ETR Associates recently announced the 2013 winners of the annual Mary Nelson Award: Production Editor Suzanne Schrag and Facility Manager Kevin Eckstrom. The Mary Nelson Award was established in 2008 by ETR Associates as a tribute to the former Publisher and Co-Chief Executive Officer, Mary Nelson, in acknowledgement of her devotion and contributions to ETR Associates and as a permanent remembrance of her work. The Mary Nelson Award recognizes a staff member each year who best exemplifies outstanding dedication, teamwork,enthusiasm and commitment to ETR's mission.

About Suzanne Schrag:

Suzanne Schrag has been a staff member at ETR since 1990.She serves ETR's publishing function as a production editor and provides copy editing, developmental editing and proofreading for all products. She was nominated for the award for her contribution on the HealthSmart K-12 curriculum and the revision of the middle and high school programs. Suzanne worked with developers on the original 1999 version of HealthSmart and took a lead role in the extensive scope of the second edition. Her dedication to science-based program development and excellence in editorial standards resulted in a program that meets the highest standards in the health education field.

About Kevin Eckstrom:

Kevin Eckstrom has been with ETR since 1996. He is a key member of the Operations Department, responsible for providing facility support services for ETR staff to help ensure they can safely and effectively perform their work. He was recently involved in an office reconfiguration project that involved the relocation of 80+ staff members and 2 satellite offices as part of a company-wide office rearrangement. Kevin was instrumental in the planning, phasing and execution of this project, which allowed it to be completed on time and under budget with minimal disruption to staff. Kevin's knowledge, enthusiasm and genuine interest in helping others demonstrate his commitment to ETR's success.
