CCAP Funded for 3 More Years

ETR's California Clean Air Project (CCAP) has been refunded by the California Department of Public Health in a new contract of $450,000 for three years that begins July 1, 2010. CCAP, which is part of ETR's Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) Department, operates out of the agency's Sacramento office, and focuses on secondhand smoke issues by supporting the work of policy advocates throughout California. The focus of the new grant will be on secondhand smoke in tribal casinos and assisting tribal leaders of these sovereign nations in adopting voluntary policies that prohibit or contain smoking within the casinos. CCAP staff members Narinder Dhaliwal, Dian Kiser, Theresa Boschert and Crystal Simpson were all instrumental in securing the refunding of this project.
